How does the Free tier work?
Your first 10K words are completely free, lifetime. No credit card required. This is a one-time allocation to help you evaluate Lexic, not a monthly refresh.
What are Word Packs?
Word Packs are one-time purchases that give you additional word capacity. They expire 12 months after purchase and you can stack multiple packs. Great for occasional heavy usage or topping up when needed.
Do subscription words roll over?
Monthly subscription allocations don't roll over to the next month. If you exceed your allocation, overage is charged at your tier rate ($0.40/1K for Core, $0.30/1K for Gold).
How does Enterprise pricing work?
Enterprise is per-seat pricing with individual word allocations (not pooled). You can mix tiers based on user roles. Volume discounts apply: 10% at 100+ seats, 15% at 500+, 20% at 1000+.
What counts as a 'word' in the allocation?
Words are counted when AI processes your content - during entity extraction, knowledge graph updates, and synthesis operations. Reading and basic editing don't consume your allocation.
Can I see word usage before running an operation?
Yes! Lexic shows you exactly how many words each AI operation will process before you run it. Full transparency - no surprises, no hidden costs.
What happens if I hit my word limit?
You can still access all your notes and use basic features. AI-powered operations will be paused until you purchase a Word Pack, upgrade your plan, or your subscription renews.
What authentication options are available?
We support OAuth 2.0 with Google, GitHub, and Microsoft. Enterprise plans include audit logs and admin dashboard. SSO (SAML 2.0) is on our roadmap.
